Office Hours for the Summer
The CPMA office will be open from July 1 to July 22, from 8 am to 11:30 am. The office will be closed on July 3rd. Back to school packets will be mailed in July. All forms will also be on the website on the Bulletin Board section below.

New Bell Time for CPMA - Again
SDUSD Board of Education moves all school bell times, except CPMA to their 2008-09 start and end times. CPMA's start time was moved to the earlier time of 9:15 am that was approved in March. CPMA's new end time will be 4 pm.

Dance and Percussion Perform at the House of Blues
On June 9th, at 6:30 pm, the Dance and Percussion groups will perform at the House of Blues.

CPMA Music takes home 5 trophies from Music in the Parks
The Orchestra, Choral groups, and the Jazz Band, performed at the Music in the Parks Festival at Disneyland on Friday June 5th. Individual award winners included Andres Jaramillo for outstanding vocal solo, and Pamela Coronado for outstanding music solo.

CPMA Students Participate in 24 Challenge Competition
Cady De Lay and Marie Barthel represented CPMA in the San Diego County 24 Challenge competition. Marie earned a bronze medal in the competition which included students from around the county.

Awards Day at CPMA
June 12th is awards day at CPMA. 6th and 7th grade awards will be 8 am and 8th grade awards will be at 6 pm. Both award presentations will be in the Auditorium.

Promotion Information
CPMA's 8th grade promotion will be held on June 15th at 8:30 am. The location of the ceremony will be campus quad region.

Board Decision will alter CPMA Bell times for 2009-10
On June 2, 2009, the San Diego Unified School Board voted to adjust all schools start and end times. They voted to move the start times 15 minutes later. This was done to accomodate schools whose start times began prior to 7:30 am.

Mr Otterman wins CAHPERD award for outstanding new PE Teacher
CAHPERD will award Brian Otterman the "Rookie of the Year" award for PE.

8th Grade Dinner Cruise
The CPMA Parent Foundation is hosting a Cruise for 8th graders on June 13. 8th grade students must meet academic and citizenship criteria and pay $40.

African Dance and Drum Ensemble perform at Sea World
Our African Dance and Drum Ensemble performed at the Partnerships in Education 27th Annual Community Recognition Event.

End of the Year activities for 8th graders
While requirements for the 8th grade activities have not changed, a last chance process has been created.

Summer School Information
Applications for select 8th graders will be going home on May 14th and May 18th. All applications are due on May 22nd.
